The Lee Renaud Memorial Award is awarded each year at the Soaring Nationals Awards Banquet. All contestants entered in the Radio Control Soaring duration Events, at the National Model Airplane Championships, shall be automatically considered for this Award. The sum of each person's final official score, of 2-Meter Event #442; the Standard Event #443 and the Unlimited Event #444, will be the score used for the ranking in the Lee Renaud Memorial competition. The winner will recieve a distinctive award and have their name engraved on the Perpetual Trophy, which is on permanet display in the National Center for Aeromodeling located near Muncie, Indiana. Note: We do not fly the Standard Event #443 at the R/C Soaring Nationals any more, so this award is based on the 2-Meter Event #442 and the Unlimited Event #444 for our purpose. |
