Rudder Elevator Spoiler
- RES is now an Official AMA Event and is subject to the current (2002-2007) AMA rules.
- The Three Functions are limited to Rudder, Elevator, and Spoilers. Spoilers are optional, but no other control can be substituted if Spoilers are not used.
- Spoilers must be located at least 2 inches in front of the trailing edge of the wing.
- Spoilers and/or airbrakes must extend only above the top surface of the wing when deployed.
- Fixed trailing edge on wing. Any wingspan or weight within FAI/AMA limits
- No limit on construction techniques
- No limit to age of the design or own design other than those above
- Radios can be of any legal type and electronic mixing is allowable on any set of surfaces.
- Landing arrestors are NOW permitted.
