Ed Wilson

I'm Edwin Wilson. I am currently 59 years old. Father of 2 and retired from Ford in 06. I have been a modeler since the age of 9 where I built many stick models and flew a lot of control line. During my college years I worked in a Boy's Club where one of my main duties was a model club for inner city youth.

I discovered soaring in 72 and it has been my main modeling interest ever since. I completed my LSF level V in November 1999. I have served LSF as Vice President 1999 - 2003.

Having already served as VP I know the job. As keeper of the "LSF Stuff" I have the contacts for ordering merchandise. This includes shirts, jackets, decals and awards for LSF regional contest. I also assist the LSF President when needed.

I have been present at Nat's planning meetings at AMA and have worked beside the LSF President with presentations and planning.

My main goal for the next four years is to work with the new LSF President and the new AMA president and see if LSF can have a leadership role in developing a program that may attract more youth to our hobby.
