| Here I am with my Gnome
|
I have been flying R/C sailplanes since the late 1970’s and really enjoy all facets of the hobby.
I am retired and worked as a statistician and real-time computer specialist in a research laboratory during my career.
Currently, I am an LSF Level II inching my way to Level III.
I served a partial term as LSF Secretary in 2000, but a serious illness forced my resignation six months into the term.
From 2002 through 2005, I served two terms as LSF Secretary. I discovered two things during those terms:
- The Secretary’s position affords one a most interesting viewpoint on the hobby and
- I truly enjoyed the work.
One might question why I’d want to serve again. Simple, I enjoy the work and still have some things I’d like
to put in place to make the task easier for future secretaries. More importantly, I believe the next few years will be key
to the future of the LSF and want to be a part of making that future a bright one.
